Music Website Wednesdays #1

On Wednesdays I will post some type of music website review. It could be a new website to download or stream music from, it could be a cool band website that is innovative or designed very well, or it could be a website that offers tools for musicians. Today's website offers tools for musicians, the website is ArtistData.

The goal behind ArtistData is to be a one stop shop for all of a band's internet updating needs. ArtistData can update your myspace, twitter, facebook, purevolume, and they are attempting to add more services. The program is still in beta and is being cleaned up but I think that the platform will be great. Having too many social networks is a problem for bands, but they really do need to be on all or most of them, you just never know where you may find a fan.

You can not update every part of all of your social network accounts but ArtistData will let you update news, status, and shows, which is what most bands really need. Also, ArtistData will notify local media about your show, which is something that most bands do not do but still should be doing. Finally, ArtistData has a great tour booking management system. All of your details can be kept on the web and you can access them from anywhere. ArtistData will also print out a tour book for each show so you can have all the information you need before you hit the road. For anyone who has ever booked their own tour or is looking to book any shows, you shouldcheck out ArtistData for the tour management system alone.
